About Us
Ascend Physical Therapy's inception stemmed from a deep awareness of the inadequacies within the conventional healthcare system. Fueled by an unwavering commitment to redefine the landscape of physical therapy, Ascend Physical Therapy positions you at the very center of care, journeying beside you as you pursue your goals. Our passionate dedication lies in bridging the chasm between pelvic floor rehabilitation and the triumphant return to activities that invigorate your spirit—be it running, jumping, or heavy lifting. This isn't merely another rendition of pelvic floor physical therapy; it's a passionate reimagination of what physical therapy can truly embody.
Meet Our Team
Dr. Amanda Simmons, PT, DPT
Doctor of Physical Therapy
In the midst of navigating the challenges of endometriosis, infertility, and miscarriage, my encounters with healthcare providers varied greatly. Some offered empathetic listening and compassionate care, while others seemed indifferent to my struggles. As a woman, I keenly felt the historical lack of adequate attention and understanding in healthcare settings. Fueled by a deep-seated longing for more compassionate and attentive care, I opened Ascend Physical Therapy. It was born out of a fervent desire to provide the kind of empathetic, dignified, and holistic care that every woman deserves. Our mission is to empower women to unleash their potential while ensuring that they are heard, valued, and supported every step of the way.
Growing up in Post Falls, Idaho, Amanda's athletic journey began with competitive volleyball, later expanding to include hobbies like mountain biking and snowboarding during her school years. Despite fluctuating exercise routines, it wasn't until she discovered Crossfit and functional training that she truly grasped the transformative power of consistent strength training. Experiencing firsthand the relief from pain and enhanced overall capacity, Amanda's passion was ignited. Now, her mission is to extend that empowering sense of freedom to each and every one of her patients.

Outside of the clinic you will find Amanda and her husband Noah, mountain biking, snowboarding, working out at Rewired Fitness Co. and renovating their 1905 house.
